I'm in love with Elly today.
A few reasons why.
She wants to better herself, wants to learn and develop new skills. This means that the fantastic woman I married is only going to get better.
She's patient with me. Sometimes, I just don't get it. I try to, but sometimes I don't. She's patient with me and understands that sometimes, even though I try, I mess up. She loves me anyway.
She's comfortable being herself around me. This means the world to me; it means I get genuine Elly everyday. Who could as for more.
I love Elly today.

Pool Sharks
Today we went and played pool.

Date nights (or days, as today was) are fantastic. (Fantastic: from Greek originally, it connotes the idea of a vision, something other than this world, something better.)
Anytime spent with Elly is magical, but especially time when it is just the two of us. Time slows and we're transported to a world that is only ours.
Where we play pool. Sometimes. Other times we do other things.
But today we played pool. After we played foosball. I lost foosball; I won pool. But who did the winning isn't the important part;
we both won, actually, as we delicately and joyfully tied threads of love and happiness around each other. Invisible threads. The goal is to get these little love threads wrapped around each other so tight, that we can't get away. Least that's my goal.
So that's why I love my wife today. Everyday she's throwing little love and happiness threads around my life, and I'm quite tangled in them. Today was no exception, as she bounced around the pool table and made impossible shots, then promptly sunk the cue ball. Or the eight ball. I did that too. She's endearing.

Why I love Elly today...

I'm madly in love with Elly today. Here's why:
10) She makes extremely tasty french fries.
9) She sings "The Bear Necessities" to our little girl before bed.
8) She gets super excited about little things, like mixing mayo and ketchup to make fry sauce.
7) She enjoys reading Way of Kings with me while we do dishes. Well, one of us reads while the other one does dishes. We go halves. 6) Sometimes, she'll bump into me, or accidentally kick my leg or step on my toe. It never hurts, but she always is really, really sorry, like the last thing she ever wanted to do was hurt me. It's cute.
5) She wakes up early and exercises, even when I'm still snoring away. It's inspiring.
4) She's always wanted to be a Zumba teacher, and recently she's been practicing using videos from youtube. The only thing more exciting than having a super sexy blackbelt wife is the prospect of having a super sexy blackbelt Zumba teacher wife.
3) She's capable.
2) She does nice things for me, even when I'm grouchy. Like today for instance, she came and made dinner while listening to her class on the computer. She didn't have to, but she wanted to give me time to finish what I was working on, so she did anyway.
1) She wants to spend time doing even the little things with me, like going shopping. I love that. And holding hands.
